Video Learning
The North Light Shop has lots of videos you can purchase in the art
video workshop section.
Learning by Video is a great way to improve your
art skills and the internet abounds with great artist videos.
-
The Artist TV Network, where
you'll find videos from many different artists for many different
medias, is one of the best I've found:
www.artistsnetwork.tv/ You can purchase videos
individually or subscribe to their library of learning videos
(which I have repeatedly and enjoyed greatly).
-
Lets not forget the largest and most well
known video site, You Tube. You can
search for specifics on how to paint or draw and find large
numbers of great videos to watch and learn from:
http://www.youtube.com/ Many skilled artist will post
free howto videos which they share freely and provide links to
their websites which offer more instruction. I love to visit You
Tube and put in search terms like "painting trees" or "acrylic
trees" or "oil painting" and see the numerous videos I can view
and learn from. Following are some good examples:
NOTE: On you tube, search for your art
videos at the top search box, as you start typing, several
options will appear to search with, choose one. A list of
videos will appear, choose one to watch. Also if you like
that video, on the right column of your screen you will see a
list of similiar ones to view.
