Melvin Rice
Art Bio
God's beauty in nature has been Melvin
Rice's inspiration to paint and capture an
impressionist's colors since he was a young boy living
in Arkansas. Melvin was born in Pine Bluff,
attended Minneapolis School of Art and Design. He
took privates lessons from well-known, local artist,
Reggie Powell, also an Art Teacher from Watson Chapel
High School. He is presently employed by Southeast
Behavioral Healthcare Center in Pine Bluff, Arkansas.
Melvin has won many awards with his paintings and has
had various exhibits within the past several
